1. Information We Collect

When you use Vidmoat, we collect information you provide directly to us, such as your name, email address, and billing information. We also automatically collect certain information about your device and how you interact with our services, including IP addresses, browser types, and usage data.

Prompts and product usage.When you use Vidmoat’s AI features, we store the text of the prompts and instructions you write — for example what you type into the AI console, agent mode, the Telegram or WhatsApp bots, or an image, video or voiceover generation box — together with what the AI did in response. We also record which features and controls you use in the editor, and which plan limits you run into. We use this to understand how Vidmoat is really used, to fix the places it fails people, and to decide what to build next. Prompt text is retained for up to 400 days and interface-interaction records for up to 90 days, after which they are deleted automatically. Please avoid putting information into prompts that you would not want stored; you can request deletion of your data at any time using the contact details below.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve our services;
  • Process transactions and send related information;
  • Send technical notices, updates, security alerts, and support messages;
  • Respond to your comments, questions, and customer service requests;
  • Train our AI models (only if you explicitly opt-in or use specific public features).

3. Media and Content

The videos, audio, and images you upload to Vidmoat belong to you. We process these files solely to provide you with our rendering, transcription, and AI features. We do not claim ownership over your content.

4. AI Features and Third-Party Processors

Vidmoat's AI features are provided by third-party model providers. We ask for your explicit consent in the app before the first such request, and you can withdraw it at any time (in the mobile app, under Settings → AI & data). Withdrawing consent disables AI features; the rest of the editor continues to work.

When you use an AI feature, we send only what that feature needs:

  • DeepSeek — your instruction, recent messages in that conversation, and a description of your timeline (clip names, durations, settings), to plan and carry out the edit.
  • xAI (Grok) — the text or prompt you supply, to generate voiceover, images or video you have asked for.
  • Google (Gemini) — sampled frames and, where relevant, the transcript of footage you choose to analyse, to describe what the footage contains.
  • Alibaba (Qwen) — rendered frames of your project, so the agent can check and correct its own edits.

We do notsend your account credentials, email, payment details, contacts, location, device identifiers, or media you have not added to a project. Speech-to-text is performed on Vidmoat's own servers (or in your browser on the web app), not by a third party. These providers process the data to return your result under their own terms; we do not sell personal data or use your content to train third-party models.

5. Support

When you contact support we collect what you tell us, and, if you are signed in, technical details we already hold: your account and plan, your browser and operating system, and, where your message is about a specific project, export or AI run, the identifiers and error messages belonging to it. This is so you do not have to describe a bug you cannot see. It is used to answer you, and it is visible to our support staff, not to other users.

Live chat is provided by Tawk.to. If you are signed in, your name and email are passed to it so the conversation is attached to your account; the messages you type there are stored on their systems under their terms. If you would rather not use it, the ticket form at vidmoat.com/supportreaches the same people without involving a third party. Support tickets and their attachments are held on Vidmoat's own servers.

We do not attach your payment details, credentials, API keys, or the contents of your videos to a support ticket.

6. Data Security

We implement reasonable security measures to help protect your personal information and media files from loss, theft, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction.
